My husband wants his cake and to eat it too!

My will power has become stronger and stronger.  I am going to gym at least 5x weekly.  I have cut down my portions.  I have quick drinking sodas.  I am drinking water.

I AM ALSO DEALING WITH A HUSBAND THAT DOESN’T WANT TO STOP EATING SNACKS.

I am blessed to have a hard working, caring, good looking man for my husband. He is in good shape and, unlike me, can he eat whatever his wants and stay in shape.  He is very excited about my weightloss, but doesn’t want to give up his snacks.  He eats cake, cookies, honey buns, etc and washes it down with a 64oz. whole milk w/ hersheys syrup every night right before bed.  It drives me crazy because I dont want to have that stuff anywhere around me, but thats my husbands treat.

Thats where the will power comes in.  It has been since 1-4 and I have made these cakes and looked at the cookies, honey buns, etc and not eaten them.  There have been times when the cravings to eat them have made my stomach hurt, but there are now eight pounds missing from my body because of it. Thats when it opened my eyes that my will power is stronger than it once was.

We all have will power in us. Use it to reach your goals.  Good luck in your journey!

I think I can, I think I can…

Yesterday was an eye opener.  I found myself at lunch time not wanting to do anything but take a nap.  I was yawning all morning at work, and thought about just sitting in my car and dozing for a minute or so.  I sat in my car and leaned my head back.  I sat there for about 5 minutes, trying to convince myself that I would be okay to not workout and just double it tomorrow.  The little voice in my head started screaming, “GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND STOP MAKING EXCUSES”.  I drove to the gym and to my surprise, after only 5 minutes on the treadmill, I felt like I could go all day.  I felt so proud of myself that I didn’t let the temptation get the best of me.

I am so looking forward to the gym today.  :)

First Workout

I started my exercise routine today. 35 minutes of cardio.  I have to work out on my lunch break, but I feel so proud to have at least started.  I am excited about where I am going.  I took my first step today.  GO ME!!!
